Meet Steve

Duty, Honor, Country: that’s the West Point motto which still guides Steve to this day as he serves Northeast Ohio in the Ohio House of Representatives.

His upbringing here in Northeast Ohio prepared him well for West Point’s Honor Code of “a cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.” Steve thrived at West Point, graduating in 2011 with Dean’s List honors and a bachelor’s degree in economics. After West Point, the United States Army commissioned Steve as an infantry officer.

During his time in the Army, Steve completed Army Ranger School, achieving the coveted Ranger Tab. He also secured his jump wings after completing Airborne training. For his service in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, the Army awarded Steve the Bronze Star Medal for his meritorious achievement and service. As a platoon leader, Steve learned what it takes to earn respect and lead Americans under incredibly challenging conditions.

After the military, Steve started a small business. He grew the business in just three years from three employees to over sixty. Steve knows what it takes to make a payroll, motivate the people around him, serve customers, and meet all the challenges small business owners face on a daily basis. He kept his business afloat during COVID, civil unrest, and labor shortages. Steve now runs a number of small businesses with his family.

Steve and his wife Carly, a former schoolteacher, are raising their three little boys: Steven, Teddy, and James. The Demetrious are parishioners of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church where Steve serves on the parish council.

It’s time for the next generation of Northeast Ohio leaders to step up and get our state back on track. Steve wants to make sure Ohioans, especially our children, can live fulfilling and productive lives. We can’t do that by sending the same old, career politicians to Columbus. With so much at stake, and at such an uncertain time in our history, we need servant leaders like Steve to guide us with honor, integrity, and respect to secure our children’s future.
